just a few pics of my gear that i'm optimistically calling "the before shot"

the yamahas are only set there for now, as i used to use them with alesis m1actives,,,,but since the alesis have been replaced,,,im gona mount the yamahas higher on the wall.

anyway,i dont have much room to work with (that wall continues about 8 foot to the left and it's free. if anyone has suggestions on basic sound treatment or positioning? it'd all be appreciated!

What's the controller next to your keyboard?

Is your booth ventilated at all it must get real hot in there.

You need to build a 2 way plenum to get your booth the same temp as your room. DAWBOX website has a vocal booth video that covers plenum design. Looks good though and thank god your out of the apartment scene.:)

damn, everyone has some very nice set ups.

here is my poopy little set-uo. i live in cramped quarters, but im trying to make due. i just wish i could set up the damn midi controller!!

other than that im pretty happy with what i can do with what i have.

Do you mean set up the BCF2000?
Let me know if you have problems with it.

reminds me of my setup before my fiancee moved in :D
it looks like you're on the verge of a diplomatic collapse there though  :)
fwiw (to the responding poster above) beer cans make excellent widgets for propping things up

haven't posted here for awhile

Here's a project that started out as a "backup", goof off play, HR setup....

The system was torn down and unplugged for months....I plugged it in today expecting problems and surprisingly....I was recording in 5 minutes! wow...

POS old frkn computer valued at Salvation Army donation levels.
Dumpster I picked up some nice acoustic foam, hi dollar shit. FREE.
Kristal Audio Engine Recording software. FREE.
DIY Speaker stands....PVC
A GC clearance table EMU1820..$forget, I paid something for it...not much.
Paid for the YSM1P's...possibly my favorite purchase in years...

Its a great home recording demo setup....did 3 rough tracks today of my son and his friend. Wham Bam...CD burnt.... oh yeah, Free Convert and Free Waves Lt...

This "Junkyard dog studio" works really really well. I use it for solo overdubs these days, maybe some co-recording fun, nothing for hire.
