Hi Silver Ball, Today I bought Fostex G24S with same problem like yours. Do you have an idea what is problem and you fix your.
Thanks, Dimitri
I own a Tascam 388 bought in early 1990s -- haven't turned it on in 30 years. All my original recordings were made on this machine. Any recommendations on servicing? I've seen posts about finding a competent technician; have thought about offering for sale...but what happens to my originals then? Recently purchased a Model 12 and plan to transfer the 1/4" recordings to the Model 12...if the 388 still works.

I'm the wrong person to be asking. I know next to nothing about the 388. Message sweetbeats. He knows a ton.
My question is on the Tascam dp32 importing files. I have several files I'd like to import to the DP32 via sans disk. All of my files are 44.1 16 bit .wav files. I keep getting a "cannot import" on the DP32 screen. I don't know what else to try. I ran all the files thru audacity to make sure they were 44.1 16 bit (which is how new songs are entered on this machine). HELP PLEASE!

I'm new to home recording, very happy to be here and I surely DON"T know it all. I've managed to record and master 4 cd's and print them. I used the Tascam 2188 to start with and I loved the CD drive. So easy to work with, not so for me, with the sans disk. I sure could use some help with importing of .wav files. THX in advance.

I'm *very* experienced with the Tascam DP-32(SD). If you are 100% certain that your track files that you want to import are 44.1khz and 16 bit - and that the song you've created is the same (44.1/16) - then you should have no problem moving those individual track files into the Audio Depot folder and then subsequently importing each file to *empty* tracks of your choosing.
Hi Sam, Not sure if this is private or not, apologies if not. I think it was you who refurbed my TSR-8 years ago. Are you willing to consult by email if I pay for your time? (Paypal/Venmo/mailed check, or whatever). It will probably be one or two emails. I can work on it myself, just need some guidance. Thanks for your consideration. --Nick Burnett, Mt. Desert Maine. Just looking to see if anyone knew how to properly set up the irig2 to an apple phone. I set it up right just sounds like someone was breathing heavily into it. Is that what you get for 40 bucks? Seems different on YouTube. Thanks.

Off the top of my head I would say you either have the Gain to High - or there is some kind of compressor on the track.
Been awhile. Too busy to be like it was, but it's still fun checking in. If you're one of the old gang, stop in and say hello. Otherwise piss off. Have a good day 8-)
Hi, Thanks for the message re the side panels for the 388. Apologies but I have just recently found some on Ebay of all places and they are on their way! I will adjust this post. Best regards Alex

Hey is there any way we can recover those files I uploaded to your now-defunct website?
Hi there!

Can I pay you to write a script to convert multiple raw audio files from a Boss BR1600 to wav?
Hi, I know its a while since you posted a repair on a korg d1600 reference repairing fuses on home recording but I have just got a d1600 with the problem you described, exactly where are the fuses on the board.. Hope you can help. kind regards.
Hey Jamie,

Sorry to bother you . But I saw a post from 2020 where you mentioned you had bought the ampex 300 8 track from American recorders in Memphis and it needed some work to run. I was curious if you would be interested in selling it ? Also are you from around the Memphis area ? I’m in northwest Alabama about 2 and a half hours from Memphis .

Thank you for your time .

Best,

Ethan
