Tascam 424 mk3 stereo drum tracks?

Can anyone help me out on recording a good sounding 2 track stereo drum mix? Tips, tricks, secrets or advice would be great. I play many instruments fairly well and am trying to get the most out of my 424. Thanks guys

I would try the recorderman technique (google it) with a kick mic and a snare mic. You could certainly add more mics if needed, but that is a good start. And you just gotta mix it well right from the get-go, since you will be summing it down to stereo right away.
