This may sound like a stupid question - but how do I erase a track using the old 424 portastudio (not a mkII or mkIII)
I had laid a good rhythm track and what I thought was a killer guitar track on track 1 and 2 respectively. I then tried my luck with some vocals - surprise, surprise, ala Dragon I made the dogs howl. I made a copy of the tape as not to screw up anything I had and then went about tring to erase the crappy vocals. Can anyone tell me how to go about erasing a track.

P.S. Does anyone have an old 424 manual laying around or know where I could find one. I thought I saw a post by some Dr. something a couple months ago.
