I'm having trouble setting my in and out points for when I want to silence the beginning of the track. I set the in point at 0:00 and the out somewhere around 0:08. I'm trying to silence the beginning of the track, about 8 seconds worth. The recorder keeps telling me that the time between the in and out points is too short. Not sure what to do. Thanks.
Thhe only way I can think of to do it is:
Set your IN point at "0" (like you're already doing).
Then, set your OUT point to 1 second.
Next, hit EDIT TRACK, which is one of the 4 buttons above the scroll wheel.
Then, go down to OPEN and select it.
Scroll to ALL.
Now you have a long enough space to allow it to SILENCE.
Re-set your OUT point to the end of where you want to SILENCE.
You'll now have a silent 1.08 seconds.
You can then cut out that 1 second that you added by going back to the EDIT TRACK menu and selecting CUT and once again scrolling to ALL
This sounds like a long, complicated process when you read it. But if you take it step by step, it's not really that long and complicated.
