After looking at all the dead threads on the 246 I'm not expecting much help but maybe some one out there can surprise me.
Can someone breakdown for me how to service the tape drive mechanisim in the 246
As soon as I put in a cassette the sensor or the top rgt in the drive starts whirring and becomes enaged.
This is before I even place the cassette over the capstain and seat it in the transport compleatly
I had one of these in the early 80's and I'd like to find some resources for people still using these type of units
