All light up with three colors

A little recording haiku...

I'm wondering how other 1880 users are making out.

sweet machine
much recording to be done

(acceptable English style haiku)

I just got an 1880.I used to have an 880ex.the 1880 is awesome .I only have one gripe,I think that the 6 individual tracks as compared to the 8 on the 1680 is a
pain in the ass for total control and mixing purposes. It does have improved sound ,more gig space, and the mastering switch.but I do wish it still had the 8 single channels.Am I crazy to think this way?I have about 3 weeks to decide with guitarcenters 30 day policy.I got my 1880 for $1994.00+tax.They now have the 1680's going for $1699.00.That could be $300.00 towards a vscdrII.What would you do?

jpskid,

I haven't really had that problem. I shut off the links on 8-18 and record stuff with pretty consistent levels on the even channels so they really do not need a lot of work during mixing. With the "links" off, I can control 1-6 and 7,9,11,13,15,17 with the faders.
