pro tools error !

can anyone help me resolve this !
when i go to open Pro Tools theres an error in the startup

this is the error :
title Bar: Pro ToolsLE.exe - Bad Image

The Application or DLL C:\docume~1\ACERVA~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\~WS4F.tmp is not a valid windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette

did Pro Tools ever work?

try trashing prefs first... if that doesn't help then
try downloading the latest PACE drivers:

Seems to me like one or more of your pro tools system files my be corrupt. If benny's suggestions don't fix it you may be looking at a reinstall. I'd also run a disk check in case there is damage to your disk.
