I read on the website that Reaper has "Advanced (highly effective) multi-processing support (can heavily utilize 2 or more processors)*"
But the small print...
* Subject to hardware limitations
So how much better is multicore with Reaper? I already got a 2.8 P4 with Hyperthreading. It was a great processor 5 years ago, and it still runs fine for most stuff, but I am wondering how much more I can really get out of an upgrade, in a strictly DAW environment.
