use Cakewalk to play via my keyboard

I have Roland XP-10 and Cakewalk 8. I'd like to know if it possible to use my XP-10 as a soundcard instead of my SB Live! Value? How?

You should be able to use it as your synthesizer, but I'm not aware that the XP-10 has any digitizing capability. You still need that to get your synth sounds into .wav format.

So..? you mean it must have a capability more than MIDI right? Which is?

I mean some sort of analog to digital converter. I've heard that some really high-end keyboards are already incorporating this idea into their products. So the output of the keyboard is both analog and digital and MIDI! Three separate signals.
You still need some way to even get THAT digital audio signal into a computer. But some cheapo soundcards have very clean digital I/O capability.
