Plug-ins

I've got nice plug-ins from Wavelab.
Is there a way to use them in Cakewalk.
Also when I insert an effect Cakewalk shows effects from n-track but when I try to use them Cakewalk gives an "out of memory" error.
What's the secret?

I think I had that problem once. The effect would show in the Cakewalk list but it had actually been deleted from the computer. If you actually still have the dx plug ins in your computer try moving them to the cakewalk directory.

How much ram do you have in your comp?

The location of the plugins shouldn't make much if any difference, so long as you don't move them to a different directory once you've installed them.

I'v got 256 KB ram and the effects are in there original folders.
Looking in the Cakewalk directory I see that effect files have an *.ax extension.
The Wavelab effects use *.dll and *.set.
I don't know much about files (just want to make music), but has it anything to do with it?

Usually the out of memory error in Cakewalk when using plugins has nothing to do with memory but comes from having plugins installed incorrectly. Or they could be cracked or expired trial versions. Reinstall your directX plugins and it shouldn't matter where they are, Cakewalk should see them.
