More MIDI channels with ReWire

Hey guys, I'm using Sonar 3.0 and ReWire to Reason 3.0.

I find that I don't have enough MIDI channels to work with. Channel 1 will always be the "Hardware Interface" so that's 15 channels by default.

I tend to use Reason's 14 channel mixer, which takes up channel 2. So I only have 14 channels left to work with.

It may sound a lot for some people, but I find that I need more. :/

I tried inserting another instance of Reason into Sonar's synth rack, but it doesn't work that way. It just won't.

Any ideas how do I get more channels to work with?

Hmm, after a lot of poking around, I guess it's just impossible.

The only way to have more channels is to bounce the other tracks.

In this digital age, I almost forgot that people once relied on bouncing. :)

Having the same problem. Anyone know of a good MIDI routing app? One that creates new 'phantom' midi inputs and outputs that could be used with reason's external input functions? This could allow the use of 64 channels, all selectable exactly which ones you want. No more using the combinator and having it fill up with things that don't need to be directly inputted to, you could just have it represented by the one combinator.
