I have been working scoring some video and all has been going well with original music. For some of the scenes I wanted to add some prerecorded music from mp3s. When I import them -- very percussion oriented, the waves clip all over the place.
In other instances I converted mp3s and would get all sorts of clipping/distrotion.
So I take the mp3 and convert it in MusicMatch to a wav and then import. No problem sounds great.
What is the deal with sonar's mp3 conversion capabilities? Anyone have similar experiences. I find it strange that free software converts better than a $400 program.
Otherwise sonar always treats me right, well, usually
