hello...im running cakewalk pro studio 9 and i have a cheezy awe soun card. i realize i need to buy a new one, but b4 i do...i querry... is the fuzzy under tones that i get on all my tracs do to my card? should i worry about this or will the problem vanish when i install my new card? thanx ...also i dont have this problem when recording on to sound forge...only multitrac editors.

I had a similar weird problem with my built-in sound card. Cakewalk Professional 7 recorded just fine off that card. But CPA9 and Vegas both had a metallic sounding distortion when I used them. I kept recording in CP7, and then used the newer software for mixing.
I don't have that problem now that I have a decent sound card. But it's weird... why would OLDER software work but the new stuff wouldn't? I may never find out.
