hello. I have a zoom rt-123 drum machine. I am having problems with the pads not playing correctly. example. when i press the kick pad it does not register as one kick, but rather it triggers 3,4, or even five kick sounds at once!!! Also, some pads only work some times or not at all.......I opened up the machine and looked at the rubber pad itself, and noticed that there is some type of black paint on the contact of each pad that when pressed hits the electronic chipboard thus producing the sound. So, as i said before how the kick was not working properly, if i place another of the rubber pads over the kick contact on the elctronic board (like the snare or tom rubber pad) i don't get the rapid fire trigger of the kick sound; it works perfectly. I took the machine to the local computer store and they told me that the black paint on the pads that touch the chipboard is probably magnetic paint. I went to the zoom website, and they dont sell parts for this machine, in fact the rt-123 is discontinued. this sucks as I own 3 of them. I dont want to purchase another drum machine because I think that any drum machine with "jelly" buttons is going to mess up eventually. ANYBODY out there in drum machine land having the same problem that they maybe repaired themselves? Or any other suggestions? THANKS
