I recorded a long session (77 minutes). Had erased all projects on the HD before I began. All the material is in there and I mastered the project but it won't burn a CD. I get a TRACK FULL message. I tried mastering a smaller parts of the session (thought I could do it in pieces) but no avail there. I don't see anything to help me in the manual. Any suggestions?

what or where are you trying to burn the c.d. from?

I am trying burn the Mastered track (from a 2 track recording) to the built-in CD burner. I figured out how to get the track off the unit using the USB out and burning a CD on my laptop. That worked for what I had to do at the time I posted the problem. Haven't tried doing a complete restore factory defaults and erase on the unit. It might function after that for my usual short projects.

I'm not sure about the Zoom but on Fostex stuff simply erasing or deleting a track doesn't clear up hard drive space. You can actually delete EVERYthing on a Fostex and the disc will still be full.
You have to reformat the thing to free up space.

perhaps something similar is the problem?

just from left field, 77 mins on a CD is close to capacity of the CD (80min), maybe the zoom thinks the CD is a capacity of 74mins which was the old CD standard.

That would be make sense as it is an older unit. Haven't tried doing a factory reset on the unit and recording a small project yet. Probably will try it this week and let everyone know if it works.
