ZIPPO Commercial song and mix

Hey guys,

My friend and I do some work for commercials and jingles, etc.

We recently got the ZIPPO lighters account. Check out the mix and song we wrote and let me know about the mix.

They requested a couple different mixes, one full and one simplified. I gave them tons of options. Voice your opinions.

FULL MIXES:
With Vocals

Beatles Style (drums to one side)

Decision!

They ended up choosing the Beatles Styled mix. Funny I thought the full mix was better. Customer is always right!
 
I agree, full mix sounds... fuller, but the one they picked has the "vintage style" and really has more character to me... definately more character... more definition, sounds like a commercial jingle! Whodathunkit?!
 
I liked the 4-track version cuz it sounded the weirdest! I liked that narrow sound for a striking, lo-fi sound for a change. Thanks for sharing; this was a unique opportunity to hear these varied approaches to mixing.
