Zildjian Cymbals - Poor Quality Control?

I bought a used set of drums which came with all "A" Custom cymbals. One of the crash cymbals seems to be very lopsided. That is, it leans to one side by a few inches. Even if you try to balance it on your finger, it leans and wants to fall.

I cannot see anything wrong with it other than being heavy on one side. It plays and sounds fine, it lies flat, has no cracks, no dents, no key-hole wear, and it appears to be symmetrical. Apparently the hole is just off center.

Don't they put it in some kind of lathe machine to hammer it? Wouldn't it have wobbled terribly in the machine?

That is weird....I cant imagine that slipping thru quality control.

I once bought a 18" paiste twenty, the first generation, that was actually 18 3/4 "... it cracked and I had it replaced... It sounded like ass.

What does your cymbal sound like?
