Will hit this later, brother, as the neck is killing me... and it's 11 PM after a 10hr work day :o

damn... gotta gets some fur'n ture up in here... cain't lay on my stomach like some doofus sea-lion much longer :D

Tomorrow Kenny! :p

Aptly named...Neat lick. I think there were too many keyboard parts for a final production, they kind of fought the jumpyness of the rythm. The center track was gitchy like the riff.

Love that bass.

I dig that jumpy rhythm man! You actually heard all that stuff in your head at one time? WOW!

The song has a Steely Dan kinda feel to it IMO. I would love to hear the final version.

i really like the organ patch........lots of stuff going on here, so you can kinda choose what part to listen to which is cool........very good seperation in the mix.......nice job

I like the idea, but for me it's just too "synth". I'd like to hear some more realism. Somehow I'm not sure if the feeling you were going for got captured. It just seemed right on the borderline of being funky. The song makes me think, "70's movie New York City cab ride looking out the window"

hehehehe, I appreciate the listens guys. yeah its kinda strange. I`m not quite the keyboard player to pull it off like I want but I think I can maneuver the parts around a little bit and get em in the slots. Right now this thing loops the whole thing again twice and then I'm thinking I`ll break it off into a more open jazz feel with the "you pick it if you can" timing for a few bars. It has room to grow... (cough.. cough.. Lt?)
The cheesy parts will be replaced with analog samples.
Its a more in a jazz venue but broken up with the drums voices swapping designated positions, that gives it a funky flavour of sorts. If you ever get the chance listen to a dude named Acuna on drums. This is going to be my new project after the HRC challenge.

Alright, I listened....Im not the jazzy type, so I think smoking a fatty may have helped the experience......

the first time around I listened at a low volume and it didnt do anything for me......

then I cranked it and I grooved with it pretty good......nice......kinda like the bass disappeared at lower volume.......also the synths maybe a little too wide panned?

but admittedly, Im not to well versed in this style, so take my comments for what they're worth.....:D I wanted to hear it lean more toward funk......maybe take one of those synth parts out and put in a funky guitar part......yeah.......

Sometimes, a fatty IS the experience....

I think this one is a little too strange and off the beaten path. It is a little unusual, so i`ll hush and let it fade. I`ll send the results in later... :)

....niiiiice groove toke!!!

.this was a cool listen! I love that pushed snare at :48......coool!
Nice sounds you chose for this'n too.

Nice stuff man, ......looking forward to hearing this done

Always ready for a collab............remember bread and beans? :D :)

I'm listening on headphones, and that's a cunning back and forth thing you got going there. Nice sounds, and almost a Steely Dan riff. This is definitely worth redoing to smooth some of the edges. It's asking for vocals. I'm looking forward to more Zigzag. Take this one where it wants to go.

Test...1...2...3... Is this thing on?

I'll have to listen later :D

The organ part really makes it something special. Definitely an unexpected riff. The moog sound was a little too "BeeGees and Frampton do Sgt Pepper circa '78" for me. I would keep going and see where it takes you.

Real smooth sound. Nice warm mix. Cool punch to the bass.

On the first listen I could've sworn the bass was a causing a little rattling sound to the general mix. But on three more listens I didn't hear it.

Couldn't find any flaws.

Good job. Trip...
