Just posting for S&G's/......Haven't done much musically the last couple of months, trying to get inspired again....going thru some old crap on my soundclick site and came across this collab I did with bulls hit. It is a cover of Zeppelins "Good Times Bad Times". I did the guitars and bass, he did the vocals, the drums are from the Simon Phillips loop cd....I think the vocals are pretty kewl

The guitars aren't spot on time-wise. You might want to get it tighter, its especially evident in the very beginning. The solo actually was pretty damn good, though the transition out of it seemed to be fucked up. In fact, most of the lead guitar stuff seemed to quite well done, its just the rhythm that needs tightening up.

The solo bass licks seem to fall out of time as well.

The vocals were fine, but they didn't seem to fit. I know on the original they were double tracked and had a decent amount of reverb. Might want to get a more prevelant sounding reverb, and put a delay on the voice.

One of my favorite Zep tracks.

Oh and I love your avatar!

I remember when you gave me a vocal-less version of that one to goof around with. I still have the version with my vocals on it. At least the music sounds good.

No way man, you did a cool job also...I have a cd with you, and snakedog, and some others doing vocal versions...I have to dig it out and put it up on my click site while I'm doing some housecleaning on my site....

Thanks Seafroggy! I'm a pretty sloppy guitarist so it's not suprising about the guitar timing...if I remember , I just winged the bass from memory rather then listening to the tune....
We actually started playing this song in my real band....heres a real sloppy:p version from one of out practices ...recorded live with a room mic.....

Hey, this is great man!
Big Robert Plant fan here...voice is definitely kewl:D It's got a nice raw feel to it and the gits are only off in few places, nothing you can't fix.
Really enjoyed this one.

Cheers
Joe

I've heard this one several times in the past and continue to be impressed by the energy and overall coolness of this recording. Just wanted to encourage others to check it out...:)

Checked out as rec'd - pretty sweet cover V-man.... Good job on both vocals and guitars IMHO. Copying Plant and Page is tough but you've both done it to a "t" ;)
