Nice vibe on this one; the instruments seem to gel well. I love the way you're singing the chorus, and the doubled vocal sounds great there. The verses sound good too, but there are a few pitchy spots I'd clean up maybe. I liked the organ (?) playing the interlude.

Not too divergent from the original, but it has your own stamp on it too. Good job! :)

Thanks, man! Its actually a melodica playing the interlude, lol.

I like the feel better than the original. It's looser and has a 90s "slack" feel vs the more stoic and serious original. I'd probably have raised the tempo slightly since 6/8 has a naturally lagging feel and added a lead line. Good vocal! Thanks for posting something musical, buddy

Did I translate that right?

Yeah, you pretty much made it your tune. You could add some low mid to the bass for earbudders. Earbrudders and sisters.

Sounds good man. Its a fun feel good song that you made your own. My only crit is that you are pitchy in some spots that was noticeable. If your like me, I have to record over and over again until I get it right(or as close as I can). regardless good tune man thanks for sharing.

Ha! That's cool. I have zero experience with melodica; I thought it was an organ set to a "reedy" sound. It sounds great! Melodicas are pretty cheap, aren't they? I make have to snag one. :)

Edit: I see you can spend several hundred on one if you'd like. Which model did you use on this recording? It sounded great to me.

Hah, its been quite a while since I've seen any tune from you around, man. Please, post more so we can lighten up this thing.

You translated it exactly right. Nice one, dobro. You know...I actually have problems mixing the bass...because I recorded it DI and I hate the sound it gets like that.

Yeah...I need to take more time on vocals. It might sound cool to be pitchy sometimes...but I do it quite often.

Its a Hohner 26 Student model...it sounds absolutely great to me. I think I spent 100 bucks for it a couple of years ago. You should go for it.

The thing about adding some 500-1500 Hz to the bass is that it's fairly subtle when you're listening through nearfields - it adds some character - but it makes all the difference when you're listening on an iPod.
