Your Help Please

I am moving to computer recording and would like some opinions on equipment best suited for my needs. I need to record a minimum of 10 simultaneous channels at once.
I record with a Roland TD-10, guitars, bass , and vocals. If have read so many Mac vs PC threads and still cant choose the best for me. I would like to ask what software program would best suite my needs, are the down loadable programs really any different from the full programs with all the bells and whistles.

That is really a VERY general question. My recommendation is to start small and work your way up to larger systems based on what works for you. i.e. get a reasonably cheap interface and demo some software packages.

the only advice i can offer is to go to a library or something and play around on both pc's and mac's and see which one you interact with better.


whichever is easier for you, use that one.
