A Winter Scene

This song is about the most precious gift one person can give another, their own time. It tells the story of a young man who has fallen on hard times. After making some bad choices in his life, he finds himself living on the streets. As the busy shoppers bustle their way through the driving snow, he seeks shelter amongst discarded cardboard boxes in a doorway. An old friend passing happens to notice him. Without a second thought she finds the time to say hello and takes him for something warm to eat and drink whilst reminiscing about the good times they had shared when they where younger. Just in those few hours, she had managed to restore his hope and faith in himself.

Hey! I kinda like it. Reminds me of Belle and Sebastian. But not so much that you sound like a rip off. I'm listening on computer speakers, so take my comments with a grain of salt. But I would like the guitar to have a tad more mids. And maybe the vocals could have just a tad more sparkle and a touch of reverb. I really like the strings particularly towards the end of the song. The bass sounds nice.

As for the song writing - I like it. Good imagery and catchy lines and just vague enough (except you wrecked it by over-expaining the story ;) ) .
 
Cool song. I like your voice, reminds me of Paul McCartney for some reason.
