i need to pick up a pair of drum overheads. i'm looking to spend less than $200, but i can deal with $200-$300. what are your favorite drum overhead mics?

the marshall mxl 603s rock ass man! you can get 2 of them with cables at www.8thstreet.com for about $150! Ask anybody, the 603s are well loved by drummer and engineers. i use'um. here's some of my drum tracks using 603s.

Oktava MC012's, Studio Projects C-4, AKG C2000B. I use the C-4's for wicked clean and crisp, like country and jazz, the C2000B's for heavy rock, and the Oktavas for everything in between.-Richie
