I have two options and I'm not sure which to take for recording an acoustic show with multiple artists. I intend to video the show as well to create a nice video for each artist. Here are my options. Which would you take and why?

I have a zoom H1. I could just record the artists with this. However, I will get very little audience reaction since the mics are so directional.

I could take a small mixer and basically set up my own mix of the artist and a room mic and use the outputs into an 1/8" cable into the H1 for the capture.

The room is a pretty typical arts space/performance venue and I'll be surprised if 50 people show.

my mics would be: two Naiant XQs and a CAD 3000.

Your thoughts?
