STEP BACK! BAD BAD BAD!

Okay first off, the bell sound is too... pungent? in a way. Knock the volume back. NOW the bad part is that the vocals are pumping. You're driving your compressor WAY too hard. Fix the ratio. Maybe 3:1 to 5:1. Your attack and release times are way to extreme.

Other than that, the backing tracks sound good.

Thanks a lot Squibble, it is very good to know that others think the same way. Do you think the mix would sound better if I just lowered the volume of the bell sound or removed it completely?

I didn't notice the issue with the compressor so I'm glad you pointed that out. I applied the compressor plug-in twice (in addition to hardware compression), so I'll remove one of the plug-ins.

Thanks again!

The backup sounds were kind of scary. They sound like an old movie. The vox weren't bad. I know the song by a few different artists and just wasn't expecting this type of version.

Don't remove the bell completely, Jon, it has a certain something. Just back it up and blend it in with the other stuff. Yes the vocals are pumping pretty hard, sounds almost like a deliberate effect. Your voice is tops as usual.;)

Joey :):):):)

I'd just echo what's been said about the vocals being over compressed. The T's and S's are really brought forward when you over compress. Backing off the compressor will not only make the vocals sound more natural, but will eliminate some of the sibilance you're getting.
