Hamilton Steele- You

We finally were able to get together again and have updated "You" with remixed drum, added another guitar (Mike), adjusted balancing and a bit of remix; what do you think???

There's a note ringing too long at 0.59 & 2.00. It could sound fine if it were more definite or something but as it is it sounds like a mistake.
Some of the bends seem a little incomplete not quite hitting the intended like at 1.10.
the two guitars in the solo don't work for me: they compete.
New drum mix sounds fine but I think this general mix sounds a little crowded - maybe push the noodle guitar over to the side a bit & away from bass/kick/snare/vox.
It's a very cool song Gerry.

Real nice tune, I like the loose feel it has. The melodies are very sweet. Other than layering the backup vocals during the chorus I have no nits.

Really enjoyed that listen, great recording too.

Thanks for the reviews guys!
Well I have to admit I was the one who suggested those particular riffs for Mike to play so I am the guilty one - :). Work and shovelling snow is keeping us pretty busy this time of year but hopefully we can get another version up by this coming weekend - this time I'll let Mike play what he was originally planning on palying :).

New mix from this afternoon. Different leads in the background. Mike and me sharing duties. Let me know what you think of this version. Same link below and in original post.

When the lead vocals are happening the noodling is distracting while coming from behind. I think they'd work better panned away from the melody. The licks sound good when there are gaps in the lead vocal which reinforces my position but it's just my personal preference - nothing technical.

Thanks Ray - should be an easy fix to pan them. I've got to shovel more snow tomorrow then I'll work on that :)
