Is Yorkville a subsidiary (spelling?) of another company or do they own another brand or does another brand own them? How good is yorkville stuff? Like their P.A stuff.

I like 'em... I like 'em a lot.
That's all I have ta say a'bout that...

Traynor is part of the Yorkville "empire".
Yorkville is also the Gibson distributor in Canada.

We use their PL-315 loud speakers for rehearsing and they're quite good, nothing seems to be able to kill them and they handle gobs of power. Add a pair of sub and I wouldn't be afraid of doing live shows with them.

Yorkville stuff is like a workhorse, it just doesn't break. I have a Yorkville 400 watt bass amp and it moves earth. It's not high end stuff but it's solid and reliable. I wouldn't use their PA stuff for recording (not a good idea anyway) but for working gigs you can't beat it, especially at the price. For US folks it's a special bargain due to the dollar difference with Canadian $$.
