It is really annoying for me to finally get a higher end soundcard (Audigy Platinum) and then has HS 2002 go completely off the deep end. Specifically, it reboots the computer while trying to open files or attach soundfonts... no error message or the like. It seems to be loading just fine and then bang, it just shuts down the computer.
Typically, the projects I am trying to open are not all that large, and contain only a few MIDI tracks. I'm also not running any other program at the same time. My operating system is Windows 98, which I just re-installed recently.
Also, does anyone have any thoughts on what should be done before saving a project, such as making sure that no tracks are muted, armed, etc. I say this from the perspective of an AutoCAD user who knows that there are certain unsaid tricks of the trade that ensure files can be opened easily.
