Hey Canopus,
I'm getting a bit of a 'brite' feel to this. As if some stuff in the high highs is jumping out at me. I might try adding some mids/lows to the acoustic and shifting some mids of the vox to the low highs? I dunno if im making sense or just rambling, but i wish someone else could help me confirm and word what i'm trying to say.

Hmmm, do you think its a form of distortion? I find the only time REAL high things jump out is in brittle or distorted sounds? No EQ was used on the guitars so I'll have to look into that

i almost quit listening to this, as it has only voice and acoustic, but I am glad that I did not.
This song would be a great song as a rock song with heavy guitars and a more aggressive vocal.
