I would like to know how to recreate the sounds you can hear on recordings such as "Yes It Is" by the Beatles and "Daydream" by Lovin' Spoonfull. I've been wanting to get this sound for a long time and haven't gotten anywhere in my quest. Please help me.

You're not too specific here, but what you're probably hearing is the plate reverb that was used on older recordings. The sound wave is used to vibrate a large metal plate and the resulting sound is picked up at the other end of the plate and mixed back into the sound. Some modern reverb processors can emulate this, but never as good as the real thing.

Its hard to explain what sound I want. It sort of sounds like tone swells, kind of like Wah but it isn't. I was thinking of a tone foot pedal but I really don't know where to find info.

Well, if you start by saying which instruments you are referring to in the specific songs, mabe we can listen to it and see.

In "Yes It Is" by the Beatles, it is mostly the guitar track with this effect on it and on "Daydream" by Lovin' Spoonful, they don't do it as much as the Beatles, its more of an in-between thing.

OK, think I got what you're hearing. It's just a volume swell. You can do it either with a volume pedal or with the volume knob on your guitar. Turn down the volume, play a chord or note and slowly bring up the volume right afterwards. You get that swelling effect because you don't hear the initial attack of the notes.
