So this is a song I wrote called Ivory Tower, I'm wondering what you think of the vocals, especially on the chorus, I'm thinking of redoing them to smooth it out a bit but after stepping back and listening to it after a day I'm almost thinking of just settling. Anyhow, so I just recorded this on my brand new Focusrite Scarlett, first time with a real interface, first time using Reaper (software) and first time ever actually mixing (yeah lot of firsts.) So I'm very excited and a bit nervous to see what people say. However I want the good and the bad, that's the only equation for progress so go ahead and lemme have it.

One thing I noticed is that the vocals sound noticeably different in different headphones, I'm trying to accommodate all quality levels (of headphones/speakers) and I'm finding it hard when it comes to mixing (I'll go to the mixing forums for details but if someone listens in multiple headphones and can verify if it's really noticeable or if that's just me than that would be appreciated .)

Might not be quite the right place but I'm looking for advice on EVERYTHING but more specifically the vocals sooooo I thought I'd post here (don't want to be that guy that posts the same thing on EVERY forum)

So anyhow here's my setup

Shure sm58 Vocal mic (yeah I'm using a stage mic for recording but for right now that's what I got)

Seymour Duncan "Woody" acoustic guitar pickup (passive)

Focusrite Scarlett 2i4o

Reaper

Shure SRH440 (closed back headphones)

going into a Desktop

Also a Roland TD-15 Electric drum kit.
