Sorry for this probably really stupid question, but here goes!
So basically, I just bought myself the TASCAM US-122MKII, packaged with Cubase LE4, which is my first purchase into the music recording..stuff. Prior to this I've been recording real-time with Audacity.
Anyway, I've been trying for hours to be able to use my Yamaha S03 synthesizer as a midi controller, but I'm having no luck. I really don't know much about this, and I thought it would be a "learn as I go" kinda situation. I want to be able to access those VSTi's and all and use the synth as a controller, but it's just not working for me..
Is it even possible to do? Or am I getting myself confused and it's not possible?
Am I doing something/setting something up wrong? I have the synth's MIDI OUT jack plugged tp the tascam's MIDI IN port, and the tascam then straight into the computer..
Am I even making any sense? I hope so, and I REAAAALLLLYYY apppreciate anything anyone could say to put me on the right track!!
