I am new to midi and am having trouble in setting this keyboard up to play through my pc.

I have followed the manual by selecting MIDI from main menu /keyboard out to channel 01 and linked MIDI out to joystick connection on the soundcard.

Unfortunatel nothing comes through to play in the programmes I have. (Cubase/Soundforge)

Anyone with this machine able to help?

16 chls. of midi standard.
Ch 1 default will be piano. Ch 2 Bass and so on. Standard midi.
Set your sequencer to ch 1 and arm track to hear it if your sampling from a soundblaster soundfont.
Too many variables involved with midi setup not knowing your exact setup.

Have solved this problem.

My original attempt to link the keyboard to PC was with a connecting cable from a Commodore keyboard from wayback.

This had provision for only one MIDI connection and I used it for - out. I have bought another cable with two MIDI connectors which allows both MIDI in/out and this works OK
