I am putting away a bit of money to buy a Yamaha MG 12/4 or 16/4 mixer. Mackie's run too steep for my blood these days, and I want to turn my Behringer board into a paperweight. SO, after many weeks of research, I decided that the MG series by Yamaha gave me the best compromise for price/mixing/routing/preamps. In the future I will buy stand-alone mic pres to upgrade my signal path.
BUT, suddenly, I have the chance for a great deal on a Yamaha MX 12/4 board, and I ahve searched and searched, but cannot find out much about it. Does anyone know if the MX series is better/worse than the MG series in regards to the preamps, or if there is no difference?
