Since when did the Motif Rack have a sequencer?

Its got an arpeggiator - thats it.

Actually, to be honest, never checked the Motif or the Rack. Had no need to - as I would never use it. I guess I was incorrect - neither has a sequencer. The Triton Rack has a Song Mode. For some reason I had it in my head they did have sequencers.

The Triton and Motif ES Racks have sequencers that have the same, if not better, sequencing capabilities of their keyboard counterparts? Hmm.

Funny considering neither have sequencer in the end, huh ?

But I do I wonder what the Song Mode is for on the Triton Rack. I've never been curious enough to find out. And they sit here in from of my face day in and day out.

I have a triton studio 88 and just picked up a motif rack es used from the guitar center for around 600.00 not a bad deal at all.. I personally love all the sounds in the triton, but absolutely hate the sequencer. I would consider myself an old head... i was a roland w30 master...(like yoda...) at one point in time. I was more than ok with hardware sequencers... until i started using reason and pro-tools.. they have totally changed my mindset. I can do far more with a software sequencer than i ever could with the triton sequencer.

The motif rack es is only a sound module it does not have a sequencer. If it did it would difficult at best to use since it's a rack mount unit. I have it setup to be controlled by pro-tools and have not had to touch it at all. I select all my patches from the program. It also comes with software that allows you to change the voices and modify the multi's via the usb cable connection. I use my triton as a controller along with my m-audio oxygen.

I really believe when you buy musical equipment you have to look at your long term goal. If you want to be able to do production work at home.. then I would budget for a software setup and add just rack modules.
