Yamaha Mixer & E-MU 0404?

If I was to get a E-MU 0404 I understand it does not have Mic Pre's ...

Im running Cubase and If I was to hook the 0404 up with a mixing desk Yamaha MG 12/4 or Yamaha MG 10/2....looking at Soundcraft too.

would this combination allow me to have a profesinal recording quality when recording Vocals and over dubs on my Cubase set up??

Well, it will work fine. The pre's in the Yammie mixer are good for the price range, you'll get a nice clean sound. Takes a hell of a lot more than that to get "professional" but it's a good start. I have both these items and they are good sound "prosumer" gear.
