My son has a MacBook with GarageBand, and I acquired an old Yamaha MC1602 mixer. I plan on getting him a Behringer UCA202 (Because it's cheap and has USB) but what I really need is advice on patching. The Yamaha manual really only shows a basic setup.
I want to be able to run signal into the Yamaha, out to the Behringers Audio In, to the Macbook, Via USB, then out of the Berhingers Audio Out into the Yamaha for monitoring thru phones. I need to iso the incoming recorded audio tracks from the outgoing signal, or new track.
Not quite sure how to patch around this with the Yamaha. Any tips on getting my kids cheap rig up?
