Wanted to know if anyone owns or has tried both the DTXTREME IIS and the Roland TD-20S. Are the TD-20S really worth the extra $2000? Going off what I've heard from reviews the Yamaha DTXTREME IIS set has better sound, feel, and durability. Is there anyone who has tried them both that can tell me which one is better? Thanks.

I'd suggest just heading out to a Guitar Center or something to check them out. They usually have them set up.

Yeah I would, but the closest one to me is about an hour away and I just figured that asking here first would be cheaper and less time consuming.

I have played both roland and yamaha electric kits and well i found that the yamaha didn't sound so nice. Roland's could take a much more large dynamic range and actually had a more authentic drum sound. Are they worth the extra 2 grand maybe nott, but if you have 2 grand to waste go for it.

But the Rolands don't have the sampling ability. Which makes its sound options endless. I think I'm just going to go for the DTXTREME II's. The sampling ability on them makes them perfect. Plus the $2000 difference  .
