If you don't already have a fine collection of mics $270 is an insane amount of money to pay for something that will only ever sit in front of a kick drum. Also bear in mind that at least 99% of kick drums that you've ever heard were not recorded with a subkick or anything like it. For $260 you might be lucky enough to find a used RE20 which will also serve as an excellent vocal mic and will be a keeper.
For a lot less you can get an ATM25 - I got mine on ebay for $80 used.
