Yamaha DJX

[DJ Chronic]

Can yawl give me some info on this keyboard? Does it have good sound quality and a good number of sounds?

Reason I ask is because the keyboard itself looks kind of like a toy.. ya know.

Also, do you know of any other keyboards in the DJX's price range for hiphop producing?

It does look like a toy, especially the DJX 2. In that price range the first model DJX would be best for hip-hop. I have one and I use it along with a Trinity. The DJX has some sounds that I use a lot on R&B and hip-hop jointz. In that price range (under 200) any other keyboard would be a waste of time and money. I suggest you listen to a DJX 1 in a store first and decide for yourself. The DJX 2 has issues like lack of MIDI control that make it pointless to buy if you want to use it with your drum machine.
