It's something of a shallow AN1x.
I had considered it myself for a while (love analog synth sounds of a Progressive Rock nature).
Ended up buying the AN200 instead (couldn't find an AN1x).
The AN200 has the brains of the AN1x without the keyboard (plus a sequencer looper thingy that I don't use).
Tons of fun.
