I've got the SCSI version of the F1, and it's great! You'll love the special "wide track" mastering format too. Best of all, with an 8meg buffer, no more coasters!

I recently got one as well and its a great burner. But I have yet to figure that dag on tatoo thing.

i cant figure out the tattoo thing either. you probly need some sort of software, but i would have thought it came with the burner?

The tatooing thing is pretty easy once you go through it a time or two. The software was included with my SCSI-F1 software bonus package. The results depend on the type of CDR you use, as well as whether you decide to have the background "dark" versus "light"... this is especially important if you're doing text only. All in all though, it's very faint... while viewing the "burned" side, tilt the disk so that light reflects off of the image and look very closely... you'll see it if you look hard enough.
