I'm trying to install a Yamaha CRW2200 IDE drive on my parents' computer (it was my sister's Christmas present). It doesn't wanna work. I get the initial BIOS screen, and it recognizes the drive, and then when it gives me the Windows screen, it stops loading and just sits there. The PC is a PII 350 Mhz on a Biostar M6TBA mainboard (Intel 440BX chipset) with 64 MB RAM, some CD-ROM drive, 8 GB hard drive, SB64 sound card, some kind of Intel graphics card--I forget which one. Just family computer stuff. Running Windows 98 original edition. Any ideas?
