Woking thru the processes on a new (to me) aw-16g.
Mixdown drives me crazy.
I recorded a new tune, on 3 tracks, then go to the mixdown page, highlight "rec"
then start "record" and "play". At that point, aren't I mixing, ie, able to adjust faders and mix the tune? For me, I can't hear any results of my fader adjustments. I hit play, and hear the basic rough mix. Even if I save the "mixed" tune, it still is not mixed, tho it is available to record on a CD (shows up in CD song list). Manuals, forums, etc, make no mention of adjusting faders during mixdown.

What am I missing here?
Something simple?
Thanks for any guidence.

Did you "Save" the song after recording the final track but before mixing down?
If not, try that.

I am using a AW2816 but iI believe that they are similar, inthat you have to designate which are the source channels and where they are going to end up ( object) On my unit this is done on the patch page. Look in the manual under "ping-pong" or maybe "bounce"
as the terms change as time goes on. Good luck. You have a pretty good unit and if you spend time mastering the basics it will pay you back with great sounding mixes. Just make sure that you are recording great sounding tracks from the git-go. Bad tracks CANNOT be mixed to sound good. No amount of EQ or FX can hide poor performances.
If you are trying to do a mix that you can burn to a CD you have to make a "stereo" mix and save it, which can then be sent to the CD for burning.
