Hello HomeRecording Community!
I just purchased a Yamaha Audiogram 6, but I've having some sound issues using it with Adobe Audition 3.0. I'm a complete novice when it comes to real recording, so I'm hoping that this will be an easy issue to fix.
The biggest problem I'm having right now are constant crackles and lags in both recording and playback. They occur every time I hit a button (toggle R, hit play, etc) but they also seem to crop up at random times with no set instigator.
It's a new laptop, so I'm hoping that that is not the issue. It's a PC running Windows 7 with 4G RAM and 2.1 GHz dual core intel processor.
One snag I had from the beginning was the drivers recommended by Yamaha - http://www.yamahasynth.com/downloads/drivers_software/interfaces/audiogram/driver/. My OS is 32 bit, but that driver had the error message
"the processor is not adequate for running yamaha usb audio driver." The 64 bit, however, worked.
I have my audio driver set as Yamaha USB ASIO. I have toggled "release ASIO driver in background" and have its control panel set at "low latency."
I've tried multiple headphones, so I know it's not that. It's also more than just a crackling in the headphones, as the crackles seem to be a part of the recording.
I'm not even really sure what other information to give at this point - I'm pretty much over my head. Any help that you can offer is greatly appreciated!!!
