i realized my converters suck big time.
i was lucky to test the Metric Halo Mobile I/O 2882, which sound great !!!
neumann tlm103 --> great river me-1nv --> metric halo --> uad & powercore
gave me the best result ive ever achieved.
i tested the metric halo converters against the emu and firestation converters
and i liked the metric halo much better. the differences between these were
as big as between different mics, which is somethin i couldnt believe !!!
yesterday i tested the yamaha aw4416, which sounded fine, the converters
were not as good as the metric halo, but i know the yamaha 01x has again
better converters than aw4416, so what do you think, should i go with metric
halo and GREAT converters or yamaha 01x with maybe GOOD converters and
a whole lot of other functions ???
can anybody tell me how good the yamaha 01x converters really are ???
