XP Pro

I'm thinking of putting XP Pro on my new computer. (P4, 1.8A mghz-512 Rambus)

I'm just having a hard time about installing an old OS like win98SE.

Will Cakewalk PA9, and Cool Edit Pro 1.1 work with this operating system?

Cakewalk and Cool edit more than likely will be supported by XP by now. I know cool edit is, cause I use it with XP. Im just not sure of that version though. Should be able to get a upgrade update from there website.
 
I don't know yet if Cakewalk 9 will actually work under XP, although I'm going to find out real soon (i.e. as soon as I get arround to installing it). But the "official" line is that XP requires Sonar, and Cakewalk is unsupported.
 
I've been running cakewalk pa9 on XP since last fall and have had ZERO problems. Everything is great.
