I see Dell are shipping with this version of XP. Anybody know if it's any different to XP home build with service pack 2?
I could be totally wrong, but I seem to recall that some software or hardware driver for something I have was incompatable with or unavailable for it, when I was shopping for a computer a month or 2 ago. Proceed cautiously.TelePaul said:I see Dell are shipping with this version of XP. Anybody know if it's any different to XP home build with service pack 2?

You'd basically be paying for an XP that you don't want and might not be able to use, so why not get a version that you can use? Microsoft still gets their money and you don't have to deal with what is essentially an aggressive (and failing) marketing strategy. *Prepares for neg. rep*

Mindset said:I had Media Center in my notebook, and it was ok for what it's suppose to do, but I had a hard time recording though. At the time, no m-audio devices support mce. Which was few months ago. I believe they still don't support mce So I couldn't connect my 410. Installed XP pro and works fine.
Well, went and looked at M-Audio's site, and still no available downloads for any USB, Firewire, sound cards, keyboards, or anything at all supports mce.

Mindset said:How you do that? I can't download drivers for mce from m-audio. 3rd party drivers? My mce was "preloaded" from Toshiba, with a restore disc.
