Hi,

www.midi-it.com is a new website I am designing. I would like ideas on what MIDI newbies to Advanced users would like to see on a MIDI resource site.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Well, my advice is: Get rid of all that creepy animation. It just takes time and is annoying! :)

And expand that midi school. Having a good introduction for people that knows NOTHING about MIDI and also some deeply technical information would make it a cool site indeed!

For a Newbie like me, it would be great to have examples of MIDI settings their application.
For example, my latest quandry is trying to figure out how to trigger different patterns on different synths through my MPC's sequencer. I know it's all about MIDI, but damned if I've been able to figure it out. I read through my manuals and all I'm left with frustrating numbers and letters in my head and a serious headache.

Anyhow, anything you do put on the site will no doubt be a god send.

thanks for taking the time!

Thanks!

I'm working on more tutorials already for pc setups with midi.

I think more info on MPC's would be great. So many people have them.

USB/MIDI ... I've witnessed first hand USB "glitching" up when sending SysEx data in both directions at once, when a parallel interface handled the same process fine. I'm going to read up more on that topic.

and lastly my "creepy animation"? hehe, that will be here for a little while, i spent too long to ditch it so quick. I do however like to keep it fresh,, so every month or 2 i will change the look.

Thanks for all the input.
